The media could not be loaded. Review Of: “The Rugs” Cream Waves 80cm x 150cm Rug It arrived rolled up and despite letting it settle for a week now, it simply won’t lay flat (see video). It doesn’t have a non-slip base so you’ll need to put rug grippers underneath. It’s too stiff to be put in a washing machine, so cleaning will need to be done by hand or with a carpet cleaner. It’s medium weight, mid-range quality, fairly soft and I like the design but I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you are laying this rug on top of a carpet then I think it would work ok, but not on laminate floors as the rug is pictured in the items listing. The problem is this rug has not got any non slip backing and it slips all over the place as your foot lands on it, IMO it's dangerous laid on laminate and needs some sort of non slip backing to make it secure on a laminate floor. The second issue I have with this rug is it's so stiff even after being on the floor for days it won't lay flat at one end (see image and look to the far end of the rug to see the creases) and still has creases from being rolled but squashed flat. I can't recommends this rug for laminate unless you use non slip carpet pads but that presents another issue as the pads show as bumps in the carpet/rug. But it's better if your laying on top of a fitted carpet and does not move about as much. I'm knocking 3 stars from this item because I don't feel it is very safe on laminate flooring unless you secure it and after 5 days it still won't lay flat at one end. Otherwise the rug has a nice pattern that stands out well and that's the only positive thing I can say. 2 stars only from me.

This is quite a thin rug but it does feel fairly durable. The weave on it is tight but not very deep. The design and colour were as advertised and its really easy to vacuum. This is probably suited to be placed in medium to light use areas.
